Job Responsibilities:
Business Rules Architect :

• Minimum 8 years experience as business rules architect, which must include knowledge and practical experience with the following:

Rule services

Rule sets

Rule metaphors

o Decision tables

o Decision trees

o Rule flows

o Scorecards

Execution methods

o RETE

o Sequential

o Compiled/enhanced sequential

Business Rules Management technology

Business Rules Engine technology

Business Rules testing and quality assurance

Business Architecture (including Business Process modeling)

Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA)

MITA Development Framework (MDF)

Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA)

TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)

Object Oriented Analysis and Design

o Use-Case modeling and documentation

o UML

o Class diagrams

o Activity diagrams

• Minimum 8 years systems architect experience

• Minimum 5 years of Enterprise Architecture experience

 

Desired Qualifications

Business Rules Architect :

• Knowledge and practical experience with Enterprise Architecture development especially as it relates to DHS strategic direction toward Enterprise Architecture

• Knowledge of DHS domains, i.e. MMIS

• Understanding of the Medicaid Enterprise Certification Toolkit

• Experience with Oracle Policy Automation, Corticon, jRules business rules engine

• High proficiency in writing skills
