Job Titile : Java Developer
Location  : Mason,OH
Duration : 6+  Month Contract

Principal Responsibilities (Care360 Portal Development):
Design, develop implementation and automated tests, maintain, and support production applications using Java/J2EE.
Develop software independently as well as under direction from development team leads.
Maintain and debug existing application code.
Work with Business Analysts to develop, prioritize and estimate requirements.
Develop and implement design specifications.
Participate in design and code reviews.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A senior-level engineer capable of working independently and in teams, even leading a small project team if needed.
Effective skills in prioritizing tasks and responsibilities.
Demonstrated object oriented design, debugging, and programming skills using Java and J2EE technologies.
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
Collaborative development experience.

Extra Credit for:
Competence in developing accurate estimates and risk assessments.
Experience in an Agile development environment utilizing the Scrum methodology.
Experience with Maven, WebLogic, Spring, Hibernate, TDD, continuous integration servers, CSS, and Javascript frameworks such as Dojo, GWT, or Prototype/script.aculo.us.
Experience with very large, clustered, high performance web applications.
Demonstrated ability to document design and coding decisions.
Preference for wearing jeans to work every day.

Minimum Qualifications:
BS, Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum five (5) years experience in software development cycle from design to programming documentation and maintenance.
Five (5) years experience with custom application software development using Java.
Three (3) years experience using enterprise Java technologies.
