We have an Immediate opening for our client who is looking for a MicroStrategy Administrator at Oak Brook, IL

Job Description as follows:

Role:                               MicroStrategy Administrator

Duration:                         6 + Months Contract

Location:                         Oak Brook, IL

Start Date:                       Immediate

Description of the Responsibilities:

• Maintaining optimal performance of business intelligence application, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and tuning for multiple members on multiple projects. 
• Ownership of all aspects of MicroStrategy Administration functions for projects, servers, user & security administration. 
• Managing migration of development, QA and production MicroStrategy projects and objects. 
• Providing technical support; troubleshooting report design; monitor system usage and proactive troubleshooting. 
• Serving as a technical expert providing input to application design regarding production tuning and administration requirements. 
• Performing application administration, assisting report developers, and participation in load testing exercises. 
• Interacting effectively with internal stakeholders and vendors. 
• Providing best practices for MicroStrategy Implementations. 

Minimum Requirements:

• 5 years hands-on Administration experience with MicroStrategy 7i / 8.x including Desktop, Architect, Administrator, and server support. 
• MicroStrategy 9 trained
• Experienced in administration of MicroStrategy Web and Intelligence servers in an UNIX environment. 
• Demonstrated proficiency in Intelligence Server configuration settings, and experience in performance tuning. 
• Experienced in multi-tenancy - i.e. supporting multiple business clients and multiple MicroStrategy projects on same underlying architecture. 
• Comprehensive knowledge in the MicroStrategy BI tool suite (I-Server, Architect, Desktop, Web, Narrowcast, Office, OLAP and Report Services). 
• Comfortable working in a production environment with change management, defect tracking and status reporting processes. 
• Strong UNIX and SQL skills; 
• Shell scripting preferred. 

Must have Good communication and client facing skills
