Senior Network / Design Engineer

Location :Branchburg, NJ
Duration : 12+ Month Contract
Requirements:
IP Addressing and Subnetting - BGP, OSPF, RIP, VLANs, 802.1q, PPP, MLPPP, ATM, Frame Relay, MPLS, QoS
Load balancers and Content Switches - Cisco or ACE and F5
Juniper Networks Switches and Routers – MX480 and 960
Cisco Systems Switches and Routers – 6500 (running CAT IOS and IOS), CRS, GSR (IOS, XR a plus), 10K, 7300
Layer 2 skills - Spanning Tree (PVST, RSTP), VLAN Trunking
Experience in data networking and telecommunications is required including expert knowledge of TCP/IP, ATM & MPLS
CDMA, Sniffer
CCNA required; CCNP / CCNP preferred
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent data networking and telecommunications service experience Candidate should possess expert knowledge and skill set of BGP & OSPF, general telephony architecture and principles, networking security (i.e. firewalls, SecureID, security protocols, TACACS and Radius), SNMP, network management, HP Openview, Concord eHealth and network equipment MIBs. MPLS, IPv6, and VoIP experience is preferred. A strong understanding of structured network design and the OSI Interconnect model especially how it relates to the design and deployment of structured networks is required
Candidate should be a solid communicator (both written and verbal) and a team player . Must be able to lead and participate in technical sessions, lead projects and coordinate technical implementation discussions.
Candidate should have solid time management skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
