Job Title : Junior Accountant
Location : Fridley, MN
Duration : 3 Months Contract

Required Skills :
Please note this position requires an Associate's Degree but would prefer
candidates have Bachelor's degree**

Required:
Education Level:Undergraduate Degree
Industry Experience:1 - 3 Years
Software Application Knowledge/Financial:SAP
Windows 2000
Request Notes :  Assoc tax accountant
MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
Reconcile sales and use tax data and prepare and file sales and use tax
returns using Vertex Quantum Returns software.
Review purchases for sales/use tax applicability
Prepare personal property tax returns including reviewing asset
classification and personal property tax reporting requirements in multiple
jurisdictions.
Prepare and file business license reports and gross receipts tax returns.
Respond to customer service requests concerning customer exemption
certificates
Assist with projects as requested including account reconciliations, refund
requests

JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
Two or Four year degree in accounting or business

JOB EXPERIENCE
1 - 3 years sales and property tax experience.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Strong PC Skills
Working knowledge of accounting systems SAP
Working knowledge of tax return software Vertex
Strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written skills
Good organizational skills
Good decision making and problem solving skills
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a matrix organization.
