Position: Microstrategy Report Developer

Location: Kansas City, MO

Duration: 6 Months (Contract)

Rate: Negotiable

 

Looking for only US Citizens/GC/EAD to work on W2/1099. No Corp-to-Corp

Scope of Work:

• The services of a MicroStrategy Developer are required to assist in onsite development of new reports, modification of existing reports, testing/refinement of existing reports, and related activities. 

The scope of work is as follows:

• Reports will be implemented in MicroStrategy v 9.0.  
• The source data for the reports will be contained in an Oracle data warehouse v10g which will maintain information that is extracted, transformed and loaded from the source systems. 
• The majority of the source systems will be utilizing an Oracle v 10.2 database.
• The MicroStrategy report developer will utilize existing functional and system requirements to implement new reports. 
• Documentation needed for modification and/or testing of existing reports will also be available.
• The MicroStrategy report developer will work with the buyer's MicroStrategy SME (Subject Matter Expert) to develop, modify, and/or test the required reports.
• They will work with the technical and business users to interpret system requirements and design.
• The MicroStrategy developer will also work with the buyer's data warehouse/ETL SME to understand the source data structures
• The successful candidate will have experience in MicroStrategy and Oracle.
• They will have the ability to troubleshoot and analyze data to ensure that delivered data and reports are accurate, and produce deliverables within a scheduled timeframe.

Basic Qualifications:

Required

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be onsite
• 3+ years of MicroStrategy reporting, design, and administration experience
• At least 1 year experience using MicroStrategy v9.0 or higher
• Strong proficiency in the MicroStrategy suite creating reports, metrics, filters, prompts, Report Service documents and other application objects in Desktop and Web is essential
• Experience designing, creating, testing, and implementing reporting applications
• Familiarity with both grid and graph style report development
• Excellent Oracle SQL skills a must
• Recent experience with version 9.0 and dashboards
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Knowledge and / or Ability to understand the Schema objects in MicroStrategy
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze data to ensure that the delivered data and reports are accurate
• Ability to utilize VLDB properties to tune MicroStrategy Report Generated SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience with MSTR Office
• MicroStrategy Integrity Manager experience is desirable
