FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW

 

Our client is a Microsoft-centric shop using Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server 2005/2008, VB .NET, MS reporting services andCOGNOS as our BI solution. This application will be developed using both the past development methodology (n-tier, vb .NET,Linq2SQL webforms) with newer components using an MVC approach. Submitted candidates should have recent experience in MVC. MVC team responsibilities are included below as an illustrative example of roles on an MVC team.

 

Evaluation criteria

Evaluation criteria will focus on:

· Overall developer skills

· Written/verbal skills

· Recent demonstrated MVC experience

· html, asp.net, graphic design css;jquery, javascript/rest

· experience with linq2sql/ado.net

· VB.NET developer, and understand WCF well. A good understanding of ASP.NET MVC

· MVC2/MVC3

· Knowledge of structure map/dependency injection

 

Developer Responsibilities and MVC team roles:

· Interact with Technical architect, data architect, development team and management staff on a daily basis to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks

· Work with team members to enhance/modify the existing application using the previous development pattern

· Work with team members to deliver MVC components in support of the implementation

· View developer; Controller developer; Model developer

 

Other related Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

1. Background in formalized process controls for change management.

2. Knowledge of AGILE software development methodology.

3. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

4. Good written/verbal skills.
