Position: Sr Software Engineer
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 8.5 Months (Contract)
Rate: Negotiable
Job Description:
- Work within a team of engineers to develop innovative software solutions.
- Use a variety of technologies and conform to various software development and business processes.
Responsibilities may include:
- Analyze and refine requirements.
- Design and implement software to meet requirements.
- Contribute to design and code inspections.
- Provide input to technical discussions; propose solutions and alternatives.
- Analyze cost effectiveness and feasibility.
- Provide work estimates; perform trade offs between implementation, schedule and cost and resource constraints, and recommend alternatives.
- Provide technical expertise to less experienced developers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related discipline or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in software design and implementation, with exceptionally good programming skills in C# .NET and WPF.
- Proficient in software development using MS Visual Studio and/or Expression Studio.
Preferred:
- Experience with MVVM using Microsoft Prism Framework; familiarity with TSP/PSP processes; experience with source code control practices.
- Candidates must be local and available for on-site interviews.
