Job Description

 

Key skills required: (in the order of priority) required Experience:

Ø  Experience orchestrating and configuring the BMC Blade Logic Server Automation Suite

Ø  Atrium CMDB, BMC Orchestration BL for Networks, a Storage piece and BL Server.

Ø  Experience working closely with a UNIX, Linux and Windows server administration teams through the diagnosis and resolution of configuration related issues.

Ø  Specific hands on experience supporting SUSE and/or AIX in a large (700 servers+ globally) corporate environment.

Ø  Basic project management skills

Ø  Experience in implementation on virtual environment is required Integration with as many of the following

Ø  EMC vMax integration

Ø  NetApp FAS Storage (both SAN and NAS integration)

Ø  The creation of LUN pools, based on storage security and services class representations (bronze, silver, gold)

Ø  Ability to map customers and Virtual Machines to pre-defined LUN pools (based on the security and storage class definitions) (assignment and allocation)

Ø  Ability to map LUN pools into ESX cluster pools (VMFS representations)

Ø  Ability to determine a common identity mechanism within a CMDB for portal based provisioning at the Virtual Machine level.

Ø  Ability to monitor consumption at the array level, VMFS level, LUN level, VM level Data center domain knowledge on -

Ø  Virtual Machine services mgmt (imaging, provisioning, compliance, job scheduling, patching)

Ø  Network services mgmt (VLANs, VRF's, Virtual Context's, Firewalls rules, Virtual IP addresses etc)

Ø  Storage SAN and NAS services mgmt (storage pool creation, storage mapping into VMware, storage back-up, storage service classes)
