BlackBerry Mobile Application Developer

Responsibilities:

• Works with Team Leads and other developers to create, maintain, document and troubleshoot Black Berry applications and other software
• Assist in application design, create functional and technical specifications for new applications and enhancements
• Assist in UI design with focus on usability specific to the Black Berry platform
• Mentor other team members on Black Berry development best practices
• Consume SOAP/XML/JSON web services on mobile platforms
• Take ownership and manage projects through the entire life cycle

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of the Black Berry SDK and programming environment
• Experience as a key contributor to at least one released Black Berry application
• Professional experience with XCode, Objective-C, Cocoa, Black Berry SDK
• Development background with java, JavaScript, CSS, XHTML
• Demonstrated ability to build intuitive user interfaces for mobile applications
• Experience developing UI for BlackBerry applications that interface with remote data sources
• Excellent optimization and debugging skills
• 5+ years professional programming experience
• Strong understanding of OO design principles
• Experience with a version control system
• Strong analytical skills and data structures/algorithms fundamentals
• A positive attitude and willingness drive projects to completion in a fast moving environment
• Projects will vary in size and scope based upon modules and platform

Great to have:

·         Background with Android, iphone, or other mobile platforms
