Position: Project Manager / BTS Master Scheduler

Location: Jackson, MI

Duration: 1 Year (Contract)

Rate: Negotiable

 

Job Description:

  • Provide program and project support in the Program Management Office for major SAP Programs and Projects, following established project management processes, standards and methods.
  • Support Program and Project Meetings by scheduling meetings, setting up and running Live Meetings, coordinating loading of presentations, scribing notes, and developing presentations, meeting agendas and visual aids.
  • Orient new Program/Project Team members on the use of tools, methodologies, deliverables templates and processes and develop job aids and procedures to support Program/Project education efforts.
  • Using Clarity, Open Workbench, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint, develop executive dashboards, graphs, Gantt charts, placemats and routine/ad-hoc reports for project teams and management to report program/project status, risks, issues, change requests, and performance metrics.
  • Manage the program/project library, ensuring project deliverables are developed and stored according to established standards and assisting project teams with requests for access to project information. 
  • Document Management Library Administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to:                       
    1. Educates Project Team members on usage of document management tool (Lotus Domino Document Manager)
    2. Locks and unlocks documents for Project Team members
    3. Troubleshoots DomDoc problems for Project Team members
    4. Makes recommendations for and sets up DomDoc structure changes and access
    5. Will coordinate transition from DomDoc to Sharepoint as the new document management tool
    6. Key member of the Program/Project Quality Management Team
    7. Conducts regular DomDoc deliverables assessments, compiles and analyzes the data to identify trends and ensures compliance with the Program's Document Management Plan 
    8. Conducts regular Deliverables Tracker assessments
    9. Develops histograms, scorecards and presentations
    10. Supports external, internal and Program audits
    11. Revises Program level deliverables
    12. Supports Stage Gate Reviews and audits

Skills Required:

Experienced, independent worker and thinker with the following strengths: 

  • Assertive, action-oriented, organized, analytical, problem-solver, focus on continuous process improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, analytical ability and attention to detail.

Experience Required:

  • Experience with Clarity and Open Workbench, demonstrated on-the-job experience as described in the position description, and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools are required. 
  • 1-3 years work experience, preferably in a related industry or project environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino Document Manager and Sharepoint and PMO experience desired.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related field required. 
  • Other majors or Associates degree with equivalent work experience may be considered.

Preferred:

  • CAPM, PMP Certification
