Job Description

 

Job Title: WebSphere Portal Administrator

 

** Hands on Exp with Portal Administration **

 

Ø  New Test Environment Setup for Portal application

Ø  Understanding of the portal application functioning

Ø  Fine- tuning of portal environment system resources

Ø  Application deployments to test, sandbox, staging, and production environments

Ø  Knowledge Basic Unix administration

Ø  Should be well versed with complex portal, webserver and application server environment.. Expert in installation & Configuration of portal environment as per application requirement.

Ø  Collaboration with application and other teams.

Ø  Assisting application in load testing

Ø  Excellent in trouble shooting the problems related with Portal, webserver/appserver configuration issues and performance issues

Ø  Should be familiar with the deployment and issues related to deployments

Ø  Environment auditing

Ø  Validate environment after patch installation.

 

Key skills required: (in the order of priority)

 

Ø  Websphere Portal server

Ø  Websphere Application Server

Ø  IHS

Ø  IIS

Ø  Load runner (Application testing tool)
