Job Title: WEB DEVELOPER
Location: Columbus,OH
Duration: 6 month

We are looking for a Web Developer to build a web application that will support point-of-sale and stores back office testing. The candidate will be responsible for the following:
Understand the current legacy script, its purpose, and its opportunities, through working with testing subject matter experts. Participate in gathering the functional and system requirements.
Document the high level design of the new Base Script application.
Understand the database schema to support the Base Script application,  make recommendations to change database to support the requirements. Follow best practices and standards for database rules. Review and receive sign off on database schema from technical team.
 Build a user-friendly front end that enables additions and changes to the test script
Assist a lead with building the initial set of required test script pages, to be determined through review of the current script and through analysis of the customized POS and Back Office applications
Provide thorough and accurate documentation on how to change and add pages, including modifications to receipt logic such as tax, discount, or promotion proration
Create main reference page for test data set up to include store, item, and promotion information that can be different across multiple stores during any given testing cycle
Ensure any and all documentation is complete and accurate before turning over to team
Resolve any system issues or design changes called out by technical or testing teams
Work with lead to ensure that suitable testing takes place of Base Script application
Provide estimates for various phases and give weekly status updates to Lead
Identify any risks or issues to delivering the assignment within the time allotted.

Skill Set Description:
Two plus years of application development, programming in JAVA
Working experience with Java Enterprise Web applications
Working experience with revision control systems Subversion, Visual Source Safe
Experience with web servers and application servers such as Weblogic, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle Application Server for Java
Strong object-oriented analysis and design abilities
Working knowledge in the following programming environments: JavaScript, HTML, XML
Experience with structured SQL queries using SQL Server, working experience with SQL Server databases
Experience performing programming design and analysis
Four year degree in Information Systems or an equivalent combination of course work and job experience.
