This is for my direct client opening for a Sr. Software Engineer – Santa Clara, CA. This is a 3 months contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. Local candidates to Bay Area only.

Job description  
·       Develop enabling technologies, applications, and systems integral to the future of client's business units
·       Background creating SOA services for large-scale deployments. Familiarity with the latest JEE/J2EE paradigms and other pertinent technical domain expertise is expected
·       Assist the team in implementing commercially-feasible end-to-end software services
·       Direct responsibility for detailed design and implementation is a must

Qualifications
·       5 to 10 years of experience designing and developing internet based software systems.
·       Expertise with Web services, SOA, including RESTful, JSON, Ajax, SOAP, WSDL principles
·       Creating, adapting, and interfacing large scale data models and data sets for Web services
·       Leveraging application servers such as Glassfish, JBoss, Tomcat or equivalent
·       Use of cloud computing services such as S3/EC2, Mosso, App Engine a plus
·       Building solutions using Hadoop/HBase, BigTable, S3, CloudFS or similar data service
·       Proficiency with JEE and experience with test frameworks such as JUnit
·       Knowledge of build and CI systems such as Maven & Hudson to manage large and complex code base
·       Familiarity with development efforts using SCRUM or similar Agile methodologies
·       Previous Web services implementation experience
·       Bachelors degree (Computer Science preferred)
·      Ideal candidate should have worked on an end-to-end solution and led the initial design, component realization, and integration of the system
·      Maintain and expand monitoring and trending systems.
·      Meticulous attention to detail with an appreciation for the relationship between system reliability and company success
·      A solid team player
·     B.S. Engineering, Computer Science or related technology preferred or equivalent experience

            For this client be sure all the skills should be reflect in your projects as per skill matrix, if you are mentioning in the skill matrix example: in Content Management Systems (CMS),  If you have 4 yrs experience, it should be reflect in your project also. They are too stick about resume. We just got a bad experience with client.
