Performance Tester
Austin, TX
Duration: 6+ months

Must Have Skills:
•      Excellent work load modeling skills
•      Excellent verbal and written communication
•      Excellent ability to report results graphically and verbally
•      Able to work independently for a variety of “bosses” concurrently who
may have different agendas
•      Good understanding of relevant communication protocols
•      Good understanding of operating systems, networks, hardware and
common performance related issues.
•      Solid ability to create ad-hoc tests to exploit areas of performance
•      Solid knowledge of Performance Engineering Methodology
 Desired Skills:
•      Knowledge of Browser Mob and Soap UI for performance and Load
testing. Not necessary but will help reduce ramp up time
Project Details: LD projects involving digital content preparation,
entitlement and fulfillment (distribution) across many client projects.
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
•      Ability to ramp up and create a performance strategy for a system
comprising of a web front-end, and supporting web services in the back-end.
•      The performance engineer must be able to create an executable test
plan that will cover load, stress and break-point testing
•      Familiarity with tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Soap UI is
preferred.
•      The performance engineer must also have the ability to analyze the
overall health of the system, review thread dumps for resource usage and
heap dumps for memory leaks.
The performance engineer must also be able to submit tuning recommendations
to support system availability and scalability
