Job Title:Java Developer
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 6+months
 
Knowledge, Skills and Education Required:
Minimum 5 Years experience with object oriented programming and design and web Application Architecture and Design. Strong Knowledge of JAVA API's Including collections, sql, reflection, net and concurrent is a must.
 
Required technologies include: Java 1.5, J2EE, Servlets/jsp, EJB, XML and xml schema,spring, html, websphere 6.1, jboss 5.0, Tomcat,sql.mysql,DB/2, Subversion,SoapJDOM, Apache commons, ant javascript and eclipse.
 
In additon, any of the following is preferred: DB/2,iseries, Sun Certification, Insurance/financial services experience, Ajax, Maven, Junit, Design patterns, Jvm Performance tuning, Apache Commons, SOA. Open source technologies. Experience with Agile Methodology, Networking, or UML.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify, Recommend and/ or develop common reusable code blocks
Transfer knowledge and improve the application architecture, design,development, integration and deployment process and activities
Review, recommend and improve the application architecture, design, development integration and development process and activities
Ensure sound design/development practices for all large scale, j2ee based projects and review application design and make recommendations
Work with developmetn team to guide application design, integration and testing to fit application development architecture
Train and mentor team/ others
Plan for infrastructure upgrades and improvements.
