Title: Sterling ecommerce consultant
Location: San Jose, CA

 

Configuration Specialist

REQUIRED
* B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience 
* 6+ years experience in designing and developing complex enterprise information systems. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Sterling Multi-channel Selling (Comergent) eCommerce application, Java, J2EE, EJB, and JSP/Servlets
* Extensive experience with internet based solutions with Java technologies including Servlets, JSP, JDBC, EJB, Core Java, Struts or other Java-based UI framework and other J2EE technologies. Working knowledge of XML, XSD and XSL.
* Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal business and technical teams as well as vendors and consultants 
* Ability to contribute in a highly collaborative environment requiring:
Assertiveness
Confidence 
Enjoyment of collaborative solution identification
Willingness to challenge conventional wisdom
Willingness to ignore status or title in the marketplace of ideas 
* Strong oral and written communications skills.
* Ability to lead teams and provide technical expertise to co-workers 
* Apache Tomcat and JBOSS application server experience
* Experience with Web Services architectures
* Strong knowledge of database concepts in a complex multi-tier architecture and experience with Oracle and PL/SQL
* Good knowledge of Web 2.0 and Ajax development
* Good knowledge of HTML and JavaScript

STRONGLY PREFERRED
* Proficiency developing within a Linux or Unix environment
* Proven ability to work with source code control system, preferably CVS in multi-project, multi-developer environment
* Proven ability to understand development best practices, processes and standards and apply them to development activities
* Proven ability to provide implementations that are appropriately scalable, maintainable, securable, reliable, extensible, flexible, available, manageable, etc. 
* Understand, describe and communicate standards, capabilities and constraints for eCommerce and infrastructure platforms 
* Proven ability to analyze complex problems and implement sound solutions. 
* Excellent planning, research, time management, multi-tasking, problem resolution and decision making abilities.
