{Ajax-DOT-NET-FAQ} Web Developer at Nebraska - John

Job Description for the Web Developer position we have here in Omaha Nebraska. Please send all resumes to me in word format.
This will be a 3-6 month project with possible extension.

Understanding that the rates are low here in the Midwest the most I can pay on a corp to corp is $45.00 per hour. This position will be located in Omaha Nebraska.


PURPOSE

Under limited supervision, follows standard practices and procedures to implement, analyze, and support designated product line(s). Works directly with internal project managers to implement html software solutions to new and existing customers. Also interfaces with the project manager to determine the nature of problems and implement appropriate changes or fixes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Execute the technical implementation of our current product line(s) for new and existing clients. This includes creation and modification of data, html, javascript, and images.

2. Enhance the web interface of existing implementations.

3. Create the web interface for product and client enhancements.

4. Recommend changes in support and implementation practices and procedures to increase the quality, speed, and efficiency of customer solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Education Required:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.

Experience Required: 

                4+ years of web development experience required

                2+ years experience in a Web Production or similar environment

                Experience in developing websites with Apache on Unix

Skills and Knowledge Required: 

                HTML/XHTML, CSS, XML, Javascript, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, SQL, SQLPlus

                Ability to hand-code, analyze, de-bug, and deliver clean, validated, maintainable code.

                Excellent understanding of the web development project cycle. Accustomed to rigid QA processes and extreme attention to detail.

                Strong background in Web Design, understanding of user-centric practices, and willingness to keep up with the latest in Internet technologies.

                Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.

                Able to work independently and multi-task.

                Able to explain technical information in non-technical terms.

                Able to work in a team environment, with internal and external customers.

                Able to conduct multi-channel communications (email, phone, chat, and in-person) clearly and courteously with both external and internal customers.

                Able to participate in an on call rotation for after hours, weekend, and holiday coverage in a 24/7 support environment.

                Effective time management skills.

                Subversion management experience highly desired.
