Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 4+ Months to start with and could go forever

No. Of positions: 3

Interview: Telephone followed by Face to Face

Start: ASAP

EAD / GC / Citizen who are local to DC  Only .

 

Tasks

Assist the  Application Test team with the testing of changes for Member Profile and Benefit Information Tool (MPBIT) Project.  They will assist the Software Testing team with testing activities:

·         Assist the test lead with the business requirement document(s) and the functional specifications and / or use cases for the assigned area of the FEPOC system as input into the creation of testing materials.

·         Must have experience with formalized testing and system development lifecycle.

·         Create all necessary testing documents and supporting peer review and revision of documents, in support of the project.

·         Maintain traceability between the base-lined business requirements, functional specs / use cases and test scenarios/cases.

·         Candidate will be responsible for assisting with:

o   Input into the development of the Testing Approach

o   Preparing the Test Plan

o   Assist with the preparation of the Test Strategy

o   Review requirement documents (Functional Specifications/Use Cases)

o   Creating test cases with expected results in Quality Center

o   Creating automated test scripts in Quality Center

o   Running  test scripts using the Quick Test Tool (QTP)

o   Test case execution status

o   Review output/reports

o   Defect reporting and tracking

o   Status reporting to the Test Manager and various workgroups

o   Tracking testing progress

·         Generate a written weekly status report

·         Assist test lead with coordination between programmers and business analyst to ensure testing incidents when needed.

 Skills Required:

·         Preferred experience knowledge of the SBP Enrollment and Claims systems.

·         At least 8 years of testing experience and full testing life cycle.

·         Demonstrated experience with the creation of test cases and the development of test scripts / scenarios using Hewett Packer's Quality Center and Quick Test.

·         Strong written and verbal communications skills.

·         Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision.

·         Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

·         Strong analytical / problem solving skills.

·         Experience testing the following types of applications: JAVA APPLICATIONS TESTING

Software:

·         Microsoft Suite

·         Hewett Packer Tool Suite (Quality Center and Quick Test Professional)

·         Serena (Team Track)

·         Must be proficient with: SQL, QMF, QFW
