Title: Biztalk Architect
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: 6 Months
Project Scope:
We are building a team that will be responsible for the design,
implementation and integration of the IT systems necessary to manage the
day-to-day operations of the client's new University center. All supporting
systems will need to be designed, developed, tested, implemented and
integrated well in advance of the anticipated opening date in the first
fiscal quarter of 2011.
The systems implementation and integration project will cover all aspects to
support the analysis, requirements definition, software selection, purchase,
design, development, testing, and implementation and integration of the
systems necessary to manage the day-to-day operations.
The project team will be responsible for the following activities:
1. Documenting the business requirements for the systems necessary to
operate the facility
2. Evaluating, selecting, and implementing new systems to manage guest
rooms, conference and learning center, and point of sale purchases
3. Enhancing systems currently used by the client, as necessary, to
facilitate flow of information between existing systems and newly acquired
systems
4. Integrating data flows between all systems used in the operations of the
University
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the architecting of a software product or application.
• Create project and application architecture deliverables that are
consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and
technology organization's best practices
• Reviewing and approving 3rd party and integration solution architecture
based on established enterprise application strategy
• Developing high level and low level application design artifacts based on
maintenance, operations, and performance standards.
• Lead low level technical design sessions with the development teams,
including the creation of class models, sequence diagrams, component models,
etc., and detailed design specifications to ensuring that architecture
standards are followed
• Facilitating the collaborative development of the technology strategy,
technology standards, roadmaps, and practices
• Establish traceability between requirements and detailed application
design
• Ensuring all technical architecture deliverables are consistent with
standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in technology-related discipline. While advanced degree
is preferred, the value is placed on the extent of the relevant experience
and accomplishments.
• Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of architecture-based SDLC and
its deliverables; 4+1 Architecture Views.
• 7+ years in web and distributed application development; 3-5 years in
application architecture, data architecture, and technical design
experience; 3+ years day-to-day experience in C#/.NET
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including MOSS,
Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow, and Windows Presentation
Foundation.
• Experience designing/developing solutions leveraging BizTalk and
Silverlight technologies preferred.
• Understanding of unified modeling language (UML), of Object-Oriented
Design (OOD), and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), its principles, and
patterns at the enterprise level.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of multi-tier architectures
• Experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of
various normal forms
• Experience in logical architecture (business entities, data flows).
• Experience in process architecture (functional verticals, processes,
services).
• Experience in implementation architecture (components, classes,
application frameworks, technologies).
