Job Description as follows:
Role: Data Modeler
Duration: Long Term Contract
Location: Minneapolis
Start Date: Immediate
Required Skills:
- Business Analysis
- Data Mapping
- Relational Design and Data modeling – ERwin
- Database - DB2, SQL
- Retail Industry experience
Desired Skills:
- Data Analysis
- Data Quality Assurance
- Ability to plan/conduct QA testing
- Ability to compile Business Requirement & Technical Specifications
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with all stakeholders to collect the business data requirement.
- Map data requirement to the Logical Data Model
- Compile Business Definitions for new attributes
- Convert Logical Data Model into Physical Data Model
- Map data requirement to the Operational Data Store (ODS) the Data Warehouse, (DWH) and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
- Conduct impact analysis to ODS, DWH and the EDW.
- Size estimates for incoming requests including data mapping, specs & data QA
- Provide specification support to ETL development mapping target table columns to source fields
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Should have 5+ years of experience in Data modeling
- Good experience in Data modeling tools, such as ERwin
- DB2, SQL
