Job Description as follows:

Role:                               Data Modeler

Duration:                         Long Term Contract

Location:                         Minneapolis

Start Date:                       Immediate

Required Skills: 

• Business Analysis 
• Data Mapping 
• Relational Design and Data modeling – ERwin 
• Database - DB2, SQL 
• Retail Industry experience 

Desired Skills: 

• Data Analysis 
• Data Quality Assurance 
• Ability to plan/conduct QA testing 
• Ability to compile Business Requirement & Technical Specifications 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Communicate with all stakeholders to collect the business data requirement. 
• Map data requirement to the Logical Data Model 
• Compile Business Definitions for new attributes 
• Convert Logical Data Model into Physical Data Model 
• Map data requirement to the Operational Data Store (ODS) the Data Warehouse, (DWH) and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) 
• Conduct impact analysis to ODS, DWH and the EDW. 
• Size estimates for incoming requests including data mapping, specs & data QA 
• Provide specification support to ETL development mapping target table columns to source fields 
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts. 

Skills/Qualifications: 

• Should have 5+ years of experience in Data modeling 
• Good experience in Data modeling tools, such as ERwin 
• DB2, SQL
