Position: .NET Solution Architect

Location: New Jersey

Position Type: 3 months Contract

Job Overview:

An architect to design a migration strategy of an application from Visual Basic to  .Net

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Microsoft Solution Architect will participate in concept phase of Policy Admin (PA) application of specialty lines.

 

Activities:

 

·         Current state analysis of PA application

·         Rank application components, interfaces, technologies with respect to criticality and enterprise/industry standard

·         Define Solution alternatives with pros and cons

·         Participate in recommending one Solution alternative

·         Detail Conceptual Architecture for the solution recommendation

·         Estimate Post concept phase (Definition, construction, release) for solution recommended

·         Participate in defining delivery strategy

 

Skill, Experience Required:

 

·         10 to 15 years overall experience (MUST)

·         5-10 years of strong expertise in Microsoft Solution Architecture (MUST)

·         Current in .Net (3.5/3.0/4.0) (MUST)

·         Large scale enterprise wide Visual Basic 6.0 to .Net migration experience including solutioning, and delivery (MUST)

·         Insurance background is highly preferred
