Job discripton:
Highly motivated Unix administrator (Solaris 8, 9, 10) with BS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or 5 years related experience configuring the following hardware but not limited to M series (M3000, M5000), T series (T2000, T5220, T5240, T5440), V490 and V240. This includes good working knowledge of jumpstarting domains or individual server with the requested OS, patch systems with the latest recommended cluster patch, Sparc OpenBoot PROM system troubleshooting. In addition, installation and configuration of Veritas. In-depth work experience with Veritas Volume Manger, Netbackup, Veritas Cluster Server, and Cluster File System.
Skills Required:
M series (M3000, M5000) The Infrastructure Shared Services (ISS) program is responsible for building and delivering an infrastructure that is scalable, interoperable, flexible, manageable,
Must be using in latest project Unix administrator.
Good knowledge of vswitch, vnet, ldm commands for allocating resources
Worked with Solaris 8, 9, 10
5 years related experience configuring
Must be using in T series (T2000, T5220, T5240, T5440)
Configuring primary domain for building out the rest of the ldoms allocated for that host.
Unix tools: shell scripting, PERL, vi, awk
Must have experience modifying eTrust directory schema in support of design/development
A good understanding of virtualization on Solaris 10 servers
Configure a zone and access through console for troubleshooting while in milestone single user.
Further experience:
SAN EMC storage, install and configure HBA on host would be helpful
creating LUN and testing connectivity from host to SAN storage
