Software Specialist - Rational
The Software Specialist (Rational) will:

·         Provide end user support for daily development activities, technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis of assigned applications;

·         Work with development, infrastructure, and database administration teams to troubleshoot potential environment issues;

·         Provide on-call support for solution development tools issues;

·         Develop an automated, continuous build process that reviews the source code, identifies build errors and notifies appropriate parties to expedite/facilitate synchronization to the latest positive build;

·         Manage the code release process, including labeling and building code, updating testing environments, and deploying code and configuration to various development and QA environments;

·         Develop and maintain software to manage the code release process that will be used to stage and document releases;

·         Implement, automate and continuously improve processes to meet business needs;

·         Develop processes to ensure compliance with IT policies and Sarbanes Oxley;

·         Apply Systems Development Life Cycle methodology to all assigned tasks and projects;

·         Coordinate and communicate with IT teams and third party contacts during product rollout and ongoing maintenance;

·         Perform as team liaison and interface with all levels of IT management and user community;

·         Work with IT management to establish and refine repeatable, structures processes and procedures for creating and managing application environments;

·         Participate in the development of standards and training for Rational product suite.

 

At least 4 years of administration experience in the Rational product suite including Requisite Pro, Clearquest, Clearcase, BuildForge, Rational Functional Tester and RationalTest Manager; familiarity with Rational Team Concert and Rational Quality Manager us preferred; demonstrated ability for automation of processes using Perl and Shell Scripting; strong system analysis and design skills and experience in JAVA and SDLC; experience in enterprise-wide solution development tools and driving user adoption within a 200+ user community; strong expertise in project management, analytical and communication skills.
