Position: Systems Analyst

Location : Richmond, VA

Duration: 1 Year (Contract)

Rate: Negotiable

 

Responsibilities:

·         Under general supervision, this fully competent role formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.

·         Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. 

·         Guides and advises less experienced Systems Analysts. 

·         Works with an individual business unit in a multi-platform environment on multiple project assignments.

·         Requires guidance in complex problem areas, errors may cause minor delay, expense and disruption.

 

Qualifications

·         Experience in programming or systems analysis desired.

 

Education

·         Bachelors preferred

 

Discipline

·         Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics

 

Qualifications:

·         4 year college degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.

·         4-5 years in QA/IT testing (functional, system, regression).

·         Ability to analyze problems in situations where the symptoms are not of a standard or familiar nature, therefore requiring independent thought and logical trouble shooting methods.

·         Demonstrated ability to apply analytical skills.

·         Commodity Services experience desired.

·         Strong QA methodology and process background. -Understanding of software development life cycles and experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

·         Must have outstanding attention to detail, must be deadline and results oriented self-starter.

·         Must be very proactive, possess the ability to multi-task, adapt and operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic organization with minimal supervision.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to work with all levels of staff and management.
