Client is looking for Silverlight Developer - Newport Beach, CA. This is a 18 months contract position.
Description
Person will be developing the UI of a trading application that tracks/indexes the bond market.
**Must have financial investments experience (bonds, securities, fixed income assets)**
Serve as part of the Technology Team, developing and enhancing applications used by Fixed Income Portfolio Management. Assist in the design, construction and enhancement of applications used throughout the business units. Participate in technology development activities for our custom and package products; research, design, develop, and test systems-level software applications, and set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements; modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance; design and develop software systems, using analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design; evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems; analyze information to determine appropriate steps, recommend and plan for new applications or modification of existing applications; develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures; direct software programming and development of documentation; consult with internal customers or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues; and monitor functioning of applications to ensure operation that is in conformance with specifications.
Qualifications
5+ years C# .NET, ASP.NET recent experience is required.
1-2 years of Silverlight required - Need to have experience with Business Logic
Strong Database skills
BS degree in Computer Science or Math
Excellent English communications skills, verbal and written
Willingness to work hard, including occasional nights and weekends when circumstances dictate.
Eagerness to learn, develop yourself and expand your horizons.
A higher degree in Math, Computer Science or Engineering
Experience in the Securities industry, preferably Fixed Income
