Position: Senior Programmer Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 1 Year (Contract)

Rate: Negotiable

 

Qualifications:

• Good working knowledge of C, C++, and Make/Makefiles.
• Experience with Java core APIs and Swing GUI API.
• Experience with Object-Oriented development.
• Experience and comfort with using UNIX command-line interface (all flavors of UNIX – HPUX, Linux, Sun).
• Knowledge of source control basics (some experience with newer-generation source change control tools – i.e. branching/merging/etc…).
• COBOL knowledge a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL – must be able to read, write, and debug Oracle SQL scripts.
• Experience with troubleshooting IT production issues (analysis, debugging, etc…).
• Ability to work in a high-paced work environment and able to juggle multiple tasks at once.
• Ability to interpret and write UNIX scripts – ksh, bsh, csh, etc.
• Knowledge of PERL scripts.  

Responsibilities:

• Build an application with persistent domain objects using Dependency Injection, AOP (AspectJ) and Spring Object Relational Mapping (ORM with JPA/Hibernate) and with Ant build files.
