{Ajax-DOT-NET-FAQ} (Job) Application Security Engineer with CISS, CEH CERTIFICATION- San Diego, CA

Hi,

 

Client is looking for Application Security Engineer - San Diego, CA. This is for a  4-6 months contract position. The Hourly rate is $60/hr. locals are highly preferred.

 

Description:

Need to have any of the following certifications:

Trade School CISSP    

Trade School Certified Ethical Hacker    

Trade School GSSP-JAVA    

Trade School GSSP-NET    

 

Qualifications:

Web services architect with coding background and security testing skills. Technical expert in application security. Must code in Java or .NET, Demonstrate skill implementing 2-way SSL and SAML integration. Must demonstrate skill in security of applications connecting to databases. Cisco AXG or other app firewall integration experience required. Experience in project teamwork required. CISSP highly desirable. Significant experience in operating and interpreting scan results from Nessus, Rapid7, or AppScan in a business environment. Significant experience in operating and interpreting the output of Wireshark in a business environment. Experience in testing security controls and documenting test outcomes in a business environment required. Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written) requirements and test results.   

 

Responsibilities:

Represent Information Security concerns to project teams. Perform and document risk assessments. Represent the scheduling and timeline impacts of emerging security concerns. Contribute requirements for security controls to project functional and non-functional requirements. Contribute security control elements to project designs. Assist in system/application construction to ensure that controls are effectively implemented and that any design changes effectively accomplish required security control objectives. Produce security solutions, and develop and implement risk mitigations. Test the effectiveness of information security controls. Analyze test results. Report on the effectiveness of tested controls. Provide recommendations for additional or modified controls where deficiencies exist.
