This is my direct client opening for a Sr. J2EE Developer - Minneapolis, MN. This is a 6 Months Contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE.

 

As a Sr. Java Developer you will participate in the full life-cycle development process including analysis, design, development, implementation, modification, documentation and refinement for Java/J2EE-based applications. This position interacts regularly with QA, Application Support as well as internal development peers.

 

Qualifications for this position include a deep understanding of Object Oriented methodologies and design patterns, strong team orientation, possess a commitment to excellence, the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities, strong written and verbal communication skills and have a flexible positive attitude.

 

Technical qualifications include:

5+ years of web application development experience in Java, including strong working experience in:

·          J2EE technologies, strong server-side design and development; experience with J2EE application servers (JBoss preferred)

·          Designing and supporting an Enterprise class, high-availability system

·          Web-frameworks (WebWork most relevant, or Struts)

·          JMS message creation and handling

·          JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

·          XML

·          UML, Industry standard Design Patterns

·          Database design and development experience with MS SQL Server and T-SQL, writing complex stored procedures/SQL queries

·          ANT

·          CVS

·          IDE (IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or NetBeans)
