Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities
• Strong Java developer who will be able to design and develop
applications for trading and post-trade applications.
• In addition, applicants must be able to make necessary
enhancements and fixes to existing applications, provide second-level
support to the above applications and participate in design,
development and code review discussions within the group.
• Staff may occasionally need to be on calls with other
locations in other time zones (Singapore, London, Pune) and some
weekend work on production releases, but no actual shift work.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years experience of Java development
- Bachelors Degree
- Hands on experience on "Core Java" development
- Experienced with multi-threading, design patterns
- Experience with Working on a high-performance, high-throughput application.
- SQL knowledge (Sybase/Oracle) programming
- Perl/Shell scripting
- Understands Unix OS fundamentals
- Minimum 8 years IT experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a wider team
Desired Experience
• Experience with Swing development
• Experience in using a pub/sub oriented message layer
• Experience with post-trade systems for back office flows
• Experience on Electronic Trading systems
• Development experience on C++ or C#
• IT / Science / Maths/ Engineering based degree
• Financial markets knowledge, especially Listed Derivatives /
Futures, Foreign Exchange, Swaps, stock Options and Bonds.
