We have an Immediate opening for our client who is looking for a Data Architect at Minneapolis

Job Description as follows:

Role:                              Data Architect

Duration:                         6 + Months Contract

Location:                         Minneapolis

Start Date:                       Immediate

Description of the Responsibilities:

• Should have at least 7+ years of experience working in Information Technology 
• Should have at least 2+ years of Data Modeling 
• Should have experience working on large projects, especially in the Project Definition and analysis stages 
• Should have participated or have driven Requirements gathering, focusing on understanding & documenting business processes, and the Data Requirements of the processes
• Should have strong knowledge, skills and experience building "Logical Data Models", "Physical Data Models" using Entity Relationship Diagramming (ERD) methodology 
• Should have basic knowledge of XML, comfort ability around defining XML Structures, DTDs and Schemas 
• Should have worked on Oracle 9i/ 10g 
• Strong RDBMS/ SQL skills
• Experience working with Power Designer/ ERwin for developing and maintaining Data Models 

Desired Skills: - 

• Prior experience in Retail Industry 
• Awareness, understanding or any working experience with Enterprise Architecture, EA Frameworks
• Awareness, understanding or any working experience with Service Oriented Architecture
• Strong PL/SQL skills
• Oracle Query Tuning
• Oracle SQL Performance Improvements
• Oracle Table Partitioning
• Exposure to Java/ J2EE 

Job Roles/Responsibilities: - 

• Participate in Requirements gathering and ensure that the Data Requirements are identified and detailed out to the required level of granularity, accuracy and completeness
• Create, Enhance or maintain Logical, Physical Data Models pertaining to a given Asset and Business Areas to accurately reflect / represent how the Business thinks about its information
• Ensure that the Logical/Physical Data Models align with the Enterprise level Models
• Must have Good communication and client facing skills
