Client is looking for Java Web Developer – Chicago, IL. This is a 6+ months Contract position. Day Rate is $450/Day.
Description:
This highly visible position is on a small team that supports and enhances a feature-rich web application serving our global Equities trading platforms. We are looking for someone that can work on the full stack of standard web technologies. The right person will have experience with developing and maintaining complex web applications, and be a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with users and product managers.
Requirements:
* Experience developing Java-based web applications from the front-end, through a MVC framework down to the database layer.
* Foundation in web standards, such as HTTP, Servlets, XHTML, JavaScript and CSS.
* Knowledge of SQL and accessing databases through JDBC.
* Understanding of core and enterprise Java, algorithms and data structures along with OO-design skills.
* Experience with Tomcat and Apache is desirable.
* Experience with Struts, Spring, or other Java frameworks a plus but not required.
