{Ajax-DOT-NET-FAQ} (Job) Database Administrator/Data Modeler/ETL Developer- San Francisco, CA - LOCAL candidates ONLY

Hi,

 

Client is looking for Database Administrator/Data Modeler/ETL Developer for San Francisco CA .Initially the project is for 9 months with the option to get extend. LOCAL candidates ONLY (50miles away from San Francisco, CA)

 

 Basic qualifications:

  • 5+ years database design and administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including administration of SSIS and SSRS
  • Experience with dimensional database modeling and understanding of OLTP
  • Experience with ETL tools
  • Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with technology teams and business analysts
  • Ability to excel in a high-paced, high-stress environment while maintaining standards and remaining clear headed
  • Demonstrated ability to perform independently
  • History of taking initiative, recommending and implementing improvements
  • Ability to be on-call

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the databases
  • Consults with and provides guidance to database users and client groups, often recommending tactical and strategic solutions
  • Performs moderately complex server-class database activities across various platforms and environments including one or more of the following: business requirement identification and analysis; conceptual, logical, and physical database design; data modeling and/or mapping; moderate to complex programming and coding to automate and/or support the database environment; performance monitoring and tuning; analyzing database metrics and assisting with capacity planning; planning, testing, configuration and execution of installations, upgrades and migrations; and implementing security controls.
  • Performs troubleshooting  and escalation as needed
  • Will cross-train with ETL developers, data modelers and DBAs
  • May participate in the development of data/ database architectures procedures and standards
  • May lead moderately complex projects
