Senior Java/J2EE Developer
Background:
Tasks:
Perform full life-cycle activities in support of the project which will include, but not limited to:
Work with the architect and technical leader on design and development
Accountable for meeting the milestones set for the projects
Conduct code review, unit testing and integration testing
Document system design, development and Unit testing, and transfer maintenance work to internal staff
Skills – Java/J2EE developer:
This position requires a BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience, and more than 8 years professional software development experience in object-oriented language, including minimum of 6 years experience with Java and J2EE. Specific requirements include, but not limited to:
Strong hand on experiecne with latest Java/J2EE web technolgies,
Extensive hands on experience with web applications using Java, J2EE, EJB, Hibernate, JSP, JDBC, JMX, JMS, Log4J, Web Services and MQ
Wide breadth of knowledge across many Java Open-Source technologies including AJAX, Spring Framework, Ant, Struts 2, DOJO, XML parser technology and Junit
Experience with software development best practices (RUP, XP, Agile)
Strong hands on experience with UML
Excellent object oriented analysis and design patterns/techniques with emphasis on Java/J2EE technology
Proven hands experience with DAO and Data Services.
Background with Rules Engines is a big plus
Excellent application performance tuning skills
Experience with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle or MS SQL)
