Position: Sr QA Analyst

Location: Universal City, CA

Duration: 5-6 Months

Rate      : Open

Note: Must be local to CA

Management of QA resources and the execution of QA activities ensuring the successful & timely implementation of new DB, Web and BO layers for Unistar & UniWeb SQL 2008  Upgrade project. Responsible for the management of QA (on-shore & off-shore) resources and delivery of project's goals within the specified timeline.

Responsible for the following deliverables:

• Integrated test plan and approach, including alignment/integration w/ interfacing systems, selection and usage of testing tools
• Test scenarios
• Test conditions
• Test cases
• Test data
• Testing templates
• Status summaries
• Issues log
• Risk Assessment

 

Responsible for providing best practices and benchmarks for functional, integration, performance and user acceptance testing Responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the testing effort for:

 

• Load – Stress - Performance Testing
• Integration - Environment Testing
• Cross Platform QA (Mac–Unix–Windows)
• Front End to Back End Testing
• Localization – Compliance Testing
• Install – Build Testing
• Security Testing
• Driver – API Testing
• GUI – Configuration Testing
• UAT for 150 geographically dispersed users

Responsible for providing test coordination across time zones·Responsible for the manual execution of test case Responsible for test case automation Responsible for managing and resolving all issues within area Responsible for defining, collecting and summarizing test metrics·Responsible for participating in project status meetings and updating project schedule w/ testing status·Responsible for creating training materials and training the user community

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Management Information System / Business Administration/ User Experience / Computer Interaction / Engineering OR 10+ years QA experience·                     8+ years experience with Software Development, Information Systems, SDLC and related methodologies (e.g., in one or more roles as BA, PM, QA, UI, Developer, Architect)·3+years leading QA activities/teams·                     5+ years formal hands on Testing experience:

• Creating & maintaining test plans, test scenarios, test conditions, test scripts, test cases as well as test data setup and test case execution
• System, Functional, Integration, Performance, UAT
• Manual as well as automation testing
• Analyzing bugs, and interacting with development team members/vendors in fixing defects

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:·Ability to work effectively with project team to delivery project on-time and within budget·Must be willing to work at the station in Universal City·Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States·Must be 18 years or older

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:· 2+ years experience working for top consulting firm (Accenture / Deloitte & Touche / Ernst & Young / Cap Gemini / KPMG / Price Waterhouse Coopers / IBM/ McKinsey/ Bain /Boston Consulting / Arthur Andersen) Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and being proactive in solving issues·Solution focused, ability to perform under pressure and meeting stretch targets·                     Team player, ability to work in global environment·                     Excellent oral and written communication skills·Automated Test Tools Expert· Advanced degree a plus Work with high integrity Strong business acumen Self starter / self motivated / self confident Strong analytical and fact-driven / quantitative problem-solving skills and strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and quality Proactive, positive, results-oriented with an ability to manage multiple priorities, identify issues and proactively determine ways to resolve them Can distinguish between the urgent and the important Quality / Customer focused Ability to communicate ideas to others at appropriate levels, in a clear and concise manner· Successful experience documenting testable business rules, pre-requisites / pre-conditions and post-conditions expected You must be experienced in writing complete, consistent / coherent, unambiguous, measurable / testable, concise use cases for complex applications and systems ·LEAN / Six Sigma certification, tools and techniques a strong plus Primavera, MS Project or other Project Management / Scheduling system a plus Microsoft Productivity tools (MS Word, Excel, Visio) a plus · Entertainment / Media Industry experience, especially Film or TV Music a plus ·RUP tools, deliverables and workflows or equivalent (e.g., RequisistePro, RationalRose, RationalStudioArchitect) a plus Experience with Service Oriented Architecture or Mash-Ups a plus ·                     Experience with change management systems (e.g., Kintana, ClearQuest) a plus · Experience with Configuration Management / Version Control Systems (e.g., ClearCase) a plus ·Experience with business rules approach a plus SQL, database design a plus Business Intelligence, Reporting Engines (e.g., Crystal Reports, Business Objects) a plus Experience working in geographically distributed teams where development & QA activities have been outsourced offshore a plus
