Job Title: Senior Oracle Developer
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 1+ Year Contract

Duties:
Description of the Requested Work, Including Deliverables and Knowledge Transfer
Creation, modification and testing of PL/SQL scripts to query and retrieve data from the existing Corporations Oracle database.   
Troubleshooting problems with the existing Corporations Oracle client/server system using the Oracle Development tools including Oracle Reports

Developer version 6i and Oracle Forms Developer version 6i and Oracle Designer version 6i . 
Modifying the existing Corporations Oracle database and Corporations Oracle systems as needed and directed by system users to assure compliance with changes in Legislation.
Participate with team members, using fundamental principles, theories, techniques and methodologies of data processing to gather and analyze facts, define problems and devise solutions.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with system users and team members.
Assist in and conduct client interviews to gather and document system requirements and software specifications for DLEG/Corporation rewrite project.
Use Oracle APEX to design screen prototypes and document software specifications.
Design a relational database management system (RDBMS) which satisfies the documented business requirements.
Working as part of the project team using project management methodology, create and document data conversion routines which insert data from the existing Oracle system into the newly created database(s).   
Document all developed processes, also perform transfer of knowledge to other team members.

Requirements or expertise applicable, including specific background/security checks required.

The person in this position must be familiar with the following:
Windows XP operating system – one year or more experience required
Oracle Reports Developer 6i – four or more years experience required
Oracle Forms Developer 6i – four or more years experience required
Oracle Designer 6i and 10g – total of four or more years experience required
Oracle APEX – one year or more experience required
PL/SQL -  four or more years experience required
MS Visio - one year or more experience required
Microsoft Project – six months or more experience required
MS Excel –  six months or more experience required
MS Outlook - six months or more experience required
