We are currently seeking candidates for a consulting opportunity in Baton Rouge, LA for a Sr. SharePoint Architect position that requires strong SharePoint architect skills. Potential candidates should offer a combination of education and experience that provides the basis for delivering the necessary job functions, skills, and knowledge as described in this job description.

Responsibilities:
* Architecting and implementing high quality, scalable, and extendible SharePoint solutions using company approved tools such as SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio. Awareness of migration and implementation plans that address both tactical and strategic needs.
* Will design and potentially implement site taxonomy, metadata management, workflows, forms, and custom web parts.
* Oversees coding, testing, and the implementation of solutions in a SharePoint environment. Taking direction from management in implementing solutions. Evaluate and prioritize tasks as they relate to program delivery.
* Analyze technologies, technical processes, and/or functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications and implement.
* Mentor other team members on new and existing technologies and help guide SharePoint development process.
* Provide architectural documentation that illustrates key decisions made on projects.

Technology Platforms:
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007, Windows SharePoint Services (WSS), Windows Server, SQL Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008, C# or Visual Basic, BizTalk, .NET
Hands on expertise with Enterprise Level implementation of MOSS 2007:
* Shared Service Providers
* Enterprise Search
* Business Data Catalog
* Single Sign On
* Performance Point
* InfoPath Forms Server
Requirements for Consideration:
1. 10+ years experience doing object-oriented software development in a Fortune 500 company.
2. 5+ years experience developing and architecting complete websites, applications, workflows, and business processes in a SharePoint environment.
3. 5+ years as a SharePoint developer creating workflows, forms and sites with Windows SharePoint Services, MOSS, MS-Office tools, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL-Server.
4. B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, or related experience.

Possess a strong work ethic, self-starter, creative, a focus on customer service, possess a high level of energy, enthusiasm, have strong oral and written communication and people skills, team player, strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, commitment and appreciate the application of technology in support of business.

Additional Preferred Skills/Background:
* Experience with data-warehousing concepts and development
* Regional candidates preferred, but will consider those outside the area
