Location : Bloomington, IL

 

Primary Skills :

This opening is for a Network Automation Analyst.  To be successful in this role you need to have a background in NMS support, networking, scripting and Unix/Linux.   Our analysts are called upon to maintain a highly automated environment in one of the largest private networks in the country.   We are a small team of talented individuals who can work independently to create solutions for our customers.

 

PAR information:

Required Technical Skills:

• Perl/PHP

• JavaScript

• Oracle/MySql

• Shell scripting

• Network management experience

 

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Unix/Linux administration experience

• Networking protocols : TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, CDP, STP, NetFlow, DNS, DHCP, SSH, BGP, OSPF

• Network configuration experience : Cisco primarily

• Experience with NMS systems : Nagios, OpenNMS, eHealth, Infovista, Smarts, NetQoS, Openview, etc

 

Individual needs to have the following competencies:

• Excellent communication and written skills

• Team work

• Technical knowledge

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies

• Ability to work independently on matters of moderate to high complexity and importance with only broad direction

• High technical aptitude and demonstrated commitment to technical skill development.
