Skill: MS SCOM

Role: Software Tool Support - TA

Level: Intermediate

Location: Bloomington, Il

Rate : #30/hr c2c

 

Primary Skills: Candidate should have solid work experience with SCOM SP1 or R2.Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows system integration a plus.  The individual must be a strong communicator and be able to explain technical information in non-technical terms.

 

 

1.  Meet with project teams to determine system monitoring requirements

2.  Meet with application support areas to troubleshoot monitoring issues.

3.  Serve as a subject matter expert to resolve issues with SCOM monitoring

4.  Create SCOM Management packs and/or scripts to provide monitoring solutions

5.  Working Knowledge of SCOM SP1 or R2 operation and troubleshooting.

6.  Understanding of Microsoft Windows Server functionality and at least 1 of the following Products  (MS SQL Server, Exchange 2010, SCCM, SharePoint, or Office Communications Server)

7.  Understanding of Windows Scripting either VBScript or PowerShell

8.  Test monitoring solutions to ensure they are working as designed

9.  Work with 1st and 2nd Level teams to facilitate monitoring solutions
