Job title: ETL / SSIS Lead Developer
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6+Months
The primary responsibility of this position is to work as part of a
project team to lead the creation of the ETL (Extract, Transform,
Load) processes. The ETL Lead will be called upon to provide expertise
in all ETL architecture and design, and to make recommendations
regarding DW platform and tools required to develop, support and
manage a robust DW solution.
The ETL Lead must recommend approaches that are practical and
appropriate to the scope of a given project, and informed by industry
best practices and standards where available. In addition, the person
in this role must be able to oversee a DW development team to ensure a
quality solution is delivered.
Required Skills and Experience:
At least 7 years work experience within IT or related activity.
At least 5 years experience in a variety of roles on one or more DW
project teams
Experience within the consulting services industry
Expert level experience with SQLServer Integration Services (SSIS)
and other ETL tools, e.g., Informatica, Datastage. SSIS 2008
experience required.
Expert knowledge of SQL and SQLServer
Good to expert knowledge with at least one BI (Reporting, Analysis) tool
Excellent communication skills
Experience in leading development teams
Experience with all phases of project lifecycles, from inception
through implementation and support
Exposure to and/or formal training in multiple systems development
