Job Title : Oracle DBA
Location : New England , CT
Duration : 3 Month

Required Skills :
Must have strong Banking and local to New England
Operational Support of the RBS Citizens Data and database(s) replication environment
Provides production support of large, 7x24 databases supporting online applications, with rotating on-call duties after hours.
Troubleshooting Production problems and working effectively with other team members to identify and address problems. Address and resolves issues, contact/escalate to vendor through agreed upon problem resolution methodology
Ensure resiliency, high availability and reliability of all enterprise databases
Evolve support practices, tools and policies around service delivery, Incident, Problem, Change and Capacity management
Scripting for database monitoring and to automate routine tasks.
Performing data analysis to provide management with timely and accurate information.
Performing data management tasks as required loading, editing, restoring and removing data at the requests of our clients.
Researching, testing, coordinating and implementing database patches and upgrades.
Tuning of SQL code and assisting developers in writing and tuning SQL queries.
Contribute to Logical and physical database design.
Ensure high availability and reliability of all enterprise databases
Communicate through the organization on initiative updates and business impacting issues and remediation
Prepare implementation plan and contingency plan for supported applications for moderate to large impact projects
Review requirements and evaluate technical risks/benefits for large/complex initiatives
Identify technical database/infrastructure risk and capacity contention areas and implement improvements
Takes lead role in many team work initiatives for TSA and external groups
Serve as a technology/process mentor to other team members
