Seeking a senior level software engineer with a solid understanding and foundation within an IBM mainframe environment to assist in the design/re-design and support of the data and applications for License and Registrations.
General Qualifications
Cobol
IBM Utilities (IDCAMS, Repro, etc)
JCL
CICS (Transaction Server level 3+)
VSAM
IDMS
Panvalet
Assembler
Abend Aid
Fileaid
Intertest
Web based development experience

Minimum 5+ years mainframe coding experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work individually or within a team environment
Develop information technology projects using software development life cycle; including technical design and specifications determined from business requirement documents
Develop information technology solutions based on business need and technical considerations
Ability to translate business requirements into a technical design
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment
Attention to detail
Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines
Provide technical expertise, direction and leadership to other team members
Perform research and analysis for problem resolution
Develop and modify License and Registration applications
Implement programming changes to the production environments following release strategy procedures
Responsible for preparing system documentation
Understanding of relational databases.
