Role: Lead C#/.Net Engineer with GUI
Location: Boston, MA (In-person Must)
Duration: 6+ Months
Keys to this Position
1. Leadership: Experience leading a development team of 5 to 8 people ( the ideal candidate will have climbed through the ranks so that they have their experience to help guide them through their decision making process) - At least 3+ years of experience.
2. Technical: Must have experience with .NET version 2.0 or higher (We use version 3.5); Must have 2 plus years of C#; Five plus years of GUI development using Microsoft technologies; WPF data grid experience and needs to be strong on the Desktop Side. Candidate needs to know how the Desktop coexists with the other applications . We are not looking for C#/.Net Web Developers.
3. Trading Systems experience is a big plus. Financial Services in general is a big plus. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment
4 This role will be broken out into 70% Hands on Design and Development experience and 30% working with other leads, solving problems, estimating Deliverables etc.
. Selling point: This position gives the candidate a great opportunity to get a lot of Trading Systems experience at one of the largest buy side firms in the US.
Minimum Requirements:
The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and proven ability to design and deliver solutions relevant to complex business problems.
Specific requirements include:
- 10 plus years of experience including 3 plus years of experience managing or leading a development team.
- Two to Eight years of GUI development using Microsoft technologies
- Two years of .net development experience using C#
- Two years of using .net frameworks version 2.0 or greater
- Experience with Visual Studio 2005 or greater
- WPF is a Must
- Strong analysis, design and modeling skills
- Strong knowledge and experience with message technologies (e.g. MSMQ, ActiveMQ)
- Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies and their effective application
- Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting a business-critical production environment
- Computer Science degree or related field
