{Ajax-DOT-NET-FAQ} (Job Offer) Network Solutions Architect, San Jose, CA

Our Client is looking for a Network Solutions Architect position in San Jose, CA. This is a 3+ months Position (renewable again in 3 months increments). The Hourly rate is DOE.

 

Job requirements:

·         Minimum 10 years of experience within a customer-facing systems engineering capacity (Network engineer or Solutions Architect) with a primary focus on mid-to-large-scale LAN/WAN operational environments. Experience in DoD or Federal sales cycles will be a plus.

·         The consultant must have advanced IP routing skills including, but not limited to, detailed knowledge of IP headers and per-hop standard forwarding behaviors, advanced routing protocol configuration and design (RIP v1/v2, OSPF, BGP), detailed understanding of Layer-2 switching architectures (including per-device forwarding behavior with L2/L3 queuing mechanisms), detailed understanding of load sharing & load balancing WAN accelerators, and acceptable UNIX-based configuration skills.

·         The consultant must be able to quickly and easily master new technologies and evolving standards such as IPv6, SOA, cloud computing, and network federation specifications.

·         The consultant must have excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal/external communication. Excellent customer communication etiquette and presentation skills are mandatory.
