Job Description:
QA Associate – Intermediate Level
Intermediate level QA associate for an IT systems project. The primary responsibilities of this position are as follows:
Reviewing business, functional and technical requirements for completeness and testability.
Providing feedback to IT QA organization as well as the project team on QA process improvements.
Development of comprehensive test cases to cover assigned business, functional, process and technical requirements by decomposing said requirements into testing requirements.
Executing all testing activities required to ensure system meets the requirements as well as the end users expectations.
Ability to test business process, system integrations and data flows across multiple enterprise applications. This will require knowledge of how Web Methods and Web services work, including fundamentals of database interaction.
Reporting any defects and seeing that those defects are resolved.
Reporting to project team and QA organization on status of all testing activities.
Develop and execute any necessary performance or load testing as needed by the project.
Provide process improvement recommendations to QA organization based on program/project experience.

 

The candidate must have a solid understanding of and experience working within a Waterfall and Agile model. A solid and practiced understanding of both basic and complex QA practices is required. The candidate must be able to address complex systems and develop the necessary testing material to ensure all aspects of the system are working accordingly. This includes interfacing with other teams across system integrations to ensure data flows are accurate. The candidate must also have a background in Computer Science or other related software/hardware areas.

 

The qualified candidate will possess the following attributes:
Must be highly motivated individual that demonstrates responsibility and hard work.
Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Must be able to work diligently on assignments with minimal supervision.
Must be able to demonstrate they are trustworthy individuals
Must have a demonstrated pattern of excellence.
Understanding of complex IT applications including integrations between those systems.
Must have experience with Quality Center v9.2 or later
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
Willingness to be located in the Central Kentucky region.
