Job Title: Java Flex Developer
Location: NYC
Duration: 1Year Contract

Position Description:
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of software development including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong background in Flex development, proven experience in rich GUI development, working knowledge of java and J2EE concepts, knowledge of data structures and algorithms, database/sql skills, excellent problem solving skills, and good communication skills. Knowledge of/experience in financial systems and technologies (e.g. understanding Equity Trading Systems and basic portfolio analytics) is a plus.   

Skills Required:
Expert Flex skills with 3+ years of developing Rich internet GUIs
5+ years total software development experience
Java skills ( not as necessary as strong Flex GUI experience)
RDBMS, SQL skills
Proficiency with Unix/Linux; i.e. shell scripting, process management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Does not have to have financial experience.

Skills Desired   Knowledge of financial technologies (e.g. Equity Portfolio Analytics, Equity Derivatives).
