There is a need in Merchandising for SAS Developers (1-4).   Requirements could look like:

 

…To develop the perfect forecasting predictive model

…PhD level people who can program any model from scratch whether it be linear algebra, vector calculations or matrix calculations.

… Candidates must have a statistical mind to model and to do data manipulation.

… Desire staffing model where one analyst is on-site and others work remote.

… On-site person needs to be highly technical but have basic business knowledge.

 

Projects consist of:

1)  Building a MAP (Micro Merchandising for Automotive Products) where the data source is our parts look-up data.  Today the system focuses on warranty and historical sales.  Goal is to forecast non-stocked items.

2) Build a multiple scenario model forecasting our Good/Better/Best product mix in stores

3) Build a model using warranty data that helps predict if product x was bought, when will customer likely return to the store to buy something else.
