Position: Sr Programmer Analyst

Location: Pittsburgh, PA       

Duration: 1 Year

Rate: Negotiable

 

Required 24 months:

• Analytical Skills 

1. Please focus on the candidates problem solving skills and their ability to take ownership of code/applications assigned.
2. Retail applications are built using native PL/SQL code.

Qualifications:

• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to solve problems independently
• 5+ years of native Oracle PL/SQL development (Functions, Triggers, Procedures, Packages, etc.)
• Agility to review and understand existing code to understand the system and impact analysis
• 5. Manage multiple tasks/assignments
• Self Motivator/Starter
• Ability to change priorities on projects
• Background in Unix and/or Linux shell scripting
• Ability to work with end-users and IT team members   

Responsibilities:

• Update production data to resolve production support issues/requests
• Resolve production support issues as assigned or identified
• Recommend long term solutions to minimize production data update requests
• Develop new Oracle PL/SQL code based on requirements (business or technical)
• Unit test all code changes (new or enhancements)
• Develop Unix and/or Linux shell scripts
• Determine production job scheduling
• Work with end-users and/or IT members on assigned tasks (project related and production support) Provide after hours support as needed or based on support rotation assignment.
• Coordinate with the IT team on project migrations
• Perform code migrations based on department policies and standards
