Job Title : Senior SOA Architect
Location : Mclean, VA
Duration : 4+ Month Contract

Project:
DSI Project 3 (Data Services Infrastructure)
A project to gain a clear understanding of Business and Data Governance needs to operationalize DSI and to manage enterprise-wide business operations while

promoting well-governed data.
               
Key project focus areas are as follows:
1)  Achieve Business Operational Readiness for DSI
2)  Incorporate DSI into the Data Governance Framework
3)  Define and Execute Training

statement:
The Architect will be fully engaged with the current Information Management team, IT and Business stakeholders, utilizing them as subject matter experts, while

applying SOA best practices, industry standards and working experiences to derive specific solutions and outcomes.   He will research, synthesize and analyze the

current state of the SOA plan and framework, to formulate new or enhanced processes and deliverables.  He will vet his proposals, make necessary changes, and

provide the necessary guidance to ensure success. 
               
Responsibilities include:  
Conducting a current state assessment of the enterprise SOA implementation plan
Identification of gaps and issues in current state with enterprise readiness for SOA deployment
Developing a roadmap and implementation plan for SOA deployment
Develop an operational readiness review checklist
Identify elements for SOA readiness in the enterprise in terms of operations, governance, development methodology, technical/infrastructure support, policies etc.
Identification of key issues and risks with respect to SOA deployment
Managing successful completion of project objectives. 
Coordinating interactions with IT, Business partners, IM team and data stewards
               
Deliverables:
Developing new and or enhanced deliverables that may include
SOA Deployment roadmap
SOA Deployment requirements
Governance framework
Operational Readiness review needs

Skills required:
SOA and BPM.
Oracle SOA integration suite (.).
XML, EDIFACT, X12, PM4Data, Web Services standards.
MQ, RMI, JMS and JCA.
SAP XI/PI and NetWeaver
               
Experience required:
At least 10 years experience in enterprise IT, including senior roles in at least two full SOA integration solution projects,
preferably in mortgage or financial services area and using Oracle SOA Suite.
Knowledge of multiple aspects of integration and SOA processes, patterns and technologies.
Knowledge of a variety of computer systems, ideally both host-based and distributed.
Experienced on architecting, designing and implementing JEE solutions.
Experience in developing SOA guidelines, policies and processes and guiding design teams.
Knowledge of an enterprise-scale SDLC.
Proven experience in technology and solution leadership.
Ability to work within and manage project budgets and schedules.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Current industry experience and perspective with data governance strategies and principles.
Current industry experience with data management principles and best practices.
Current industry experience with data management program/project setup and operations.
Current industry experience with data strategy.
Experience with leading, facilitating and standing up new data governance organizations.
Knowledge data management practices.
Desired knowledge of the secondary mortgage markets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with projects involving change management to support user roll-out and adoption.

Educations/Qualifications
A relevant university degree in IT, preferably at the Masters level.
SOA certification
TOGAF certification.
Knowledge of mortgage and financial services domains
PMP, SCS CITPM or equivalent certification.

Personal Attributes
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to reach out and work independently with cross-functional senior management (IT and Business).
