PeopleSoft Admin – Finance

Key responsibilities include:

- Ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain PeopleSoft Internet Architecture components including App Servers, Process Schedulers, and Web logic Servers.

- Plan and manage the installation of application patches, tax updates and maintenance releases on development, test, QA and production environments.

- Proactively plan for future capacity requirements by calculating growth of the application in the areas of database size, number of end-users and application functionality.

- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

- Identify and participate in application architecture solutions for improving the reliability, performance and availability of the systems.

- Interact with analysts and user community to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot problems. Prepare and deliver recommendations to resolve issues in a timely manner.

- Provide technical administration and migration support for various PeopleSoft environments.

- Ensure application change control and migration strategy policies are followed.

- Coordinate activities with financial, clinical, administrative and external users to define requirements to develop timely solutions.

- Be available on an on-call basis for system and application problems. Respond to problem tickets within service level agreement timeframes

- Manage systems for high availability, and satisfactory response time.

- Act as a liaison with other IT departments and external departments.

- Good knowledge of IT Project Management Standards.

Job Requirements

- Six plus years of Experience on PeopleSoft Finance

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related

- People Tools experience including People Code, Integration Broker and PeopleSoft Messaging, Application Engine, Change Assistant, Data Mover and Component Interface.

- A good understanding of object-oriented concepts and Application packages is preferred.

- Strong skills using Integration broker and Application messaging technologies.

- Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning of systems.

- Good understanding of PeopleSoft upgrade/updates methodologies for People Tools and Application Upgrades.

- Strong SQL/PLSQL and application tuning skills on Oracle database.

- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

- Crystal Reports and XML Publisher experience a plus.

Job Description

Test Automation Engineer responsible for designing, scripting, executing and analyzing manual tests to implement and maintain a test automation framework. Able to coordinate / lead diverse teams of technical resources when conducting application, UI and database test automation initiatives. Able to develop effective test scripts using HP (Mercury) Quick Test Pro, with Business Process Testing. Additional experience with UNIX shell scripts and web services testing using 3^rd-party tools also desirable.
- Prepare Automation Test Plans and Test Cases

- Experience in creating and maintaining various types of automation frameworks and strategies
- Interpret application requirements to identify automation candidates
- Proficiency with HP functional testing tools – QTP and Quality Center, with BPT
- Identification and management of test data needed for automated testing
- Ability to develop custom tools as needed
- Good communication skills
- Good leadership skills
- Willing to perform manual testing when required
- Can work independently or as a member of a team with the ability to lead an initiative
- Self starter - quick learner
- Schedule driven - Results focused

- Strong understanding of QA concepts and methodologies

- Strong experience with software development lifecycle phases
Required:

- 3 - 5 years of solid experience developing automation scripts
- HP (Mercury) automation tools to include: QTP & BPT
- Good working knowledge of UNIX OS, and shell scripting
- Good working knowledge of SQL with the ability to create SQL queries

- Good technical experience to include a variety of application architectures (e.g. UNIX, Windows, .net, Java, etc.)
- Ability to design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks
- HP (Mercury) tools administrator responsible for tool installation, updates and customization
- Must have hands-on experience developing automation scripts

- Working knowledge of XML

- Strong knowledge of VBScript
Preferred:
- Experience using HP (Mercury) Quality Center / Test Director
- Computer Science Degree
